As a proud member of The Carling Group of businesses, Carling Property Group shares the same ambitions and commitment to decarbonisation and sustainability. Many steps have already been taken to improve the energy performance of our portfolio with more carbon reduction initiatives planned.

The Carling Groups portfolio of businesses operate internationally and employ a large number of people in various industries. The Group continues to target growth through acquisition.

Residential Property

Carling Property Group is one of the largest private residential landlords in the UK and has a diverse portfolio of affordable housing stock spread across the East Coast and Central Belt of Scotland. The portfolio of properties achieves very high occupancy levels and solid rental returns.

Recently, we re-affirmed our commitment to decarbonising our portfolio of properties and a comprehensive review into the energy performance of our housing stock is underway. Assets deemed too in-efficient or not suitable for decarbonisation, will be sold, as we focus on sustainable properties.

Commercial Property

The Carling Group recently acquired a business centre located in Dundee, which was re-branded and re-launched under the name Affinity Business Centre. Significant investment has been made into the sustainability of the centre which already boats a very high occupancy level.

Recently we have installed a wind turbine and several electric vehicle charging points, as well as replaced all lighting with energy-efficient LED alternatives.

Student Accommodation

Our student accommodation, Kingsway Apartments, was acquired from University of Abertay in Dundee and provides a quality and affordable alternative to the many city centre alternatives. Kingsway Apartments continues to prove popular with students and the property has a programme of on-going investment, to maintain high standards.

Work-force Accommodation

In response to growing demand in Dundee, we launched Dundee Digs, the only low-cost accommodation option designed specifically for work-forces. Our customers, typically workers on short-term project contracts love Dundee Digs as an alternative to hotel living. The popularity of the business continues to rise with demand often outstripping our capacity.
